                 '''1st Pearls Women Kabaddi World Cup 2011''' is the first time ever international event being organised in respect to [[Punjab region|Punjab]]'s traditional game [[Kabaddi]] and was held in [[Punjab, India]].Kabaddi (sometimes transliterated Kabbadi or Kabaddi;Punjabi:ਕੌਡੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਬੱਡੀ, Marathi: कबड्डी, Hindi: कबड्डी, Bengali: কাবাডি,Urdu: کبڈی, Persian: کودّی، کبدی, Kannada: ಕಬಡಿ , Tamil: சடுகுடு, Telugu: కబడ్దీ, Malayalam: കബഡി) is a South Asian team sport. In Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the name derives from the word (கை-பிடி) "kai"(hand), "pidi"(catch), which could be translated into "Holding Hands".The game of kabaddi is one of the oldest games of Indian Origin. Circle Kabaddi is a 4000 year old game. The Punjab Sports Department/ Punjab State Sports Council/Punjab Govt. is organizing Women world cup Kabaddi in Punjab from 11-11-2011 to 20-11-2011.But 13,17,19 Nov. Rest days. World cup 2011 kabaddi event takes place in 7 cities of Punjab and 7 matches. Opening Ceremony will takes place on 1 Nov, 2011 at Sports Stadium, Bathinda and Closing Ceremony will takes place on 20 Nov, 2011 at Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana. Four international women teams, India, U.S.A, U.K, and. Turkmenistan are participating in this event. Misconduct,Warning,Yellow Card, Red Card, stopper (Defender) Holding breath, Dodging, Movement of hand and foot, Formation, Safe Raid, Holding, Offensive Skills, Body Position during Raid, Touching with the hand, Vertical swing of arms ,Horizontal swing of arms, Defensive Skills , Wrist catch or Lock, Over the shoulder catch, Ankle catch and lock, Elephant stance, Charging elephant,is also parts of this game. A raider shall be entitle to 30-Seconds to touch a player of the opponent team or being touched from the time he cross the gateline (pala) and back to his court.
Competition Format  ;-
Four teams will compete in Women Kabaddi Cup tournament consisting of round robin format with each of the teams playing all other teams once.After this on point basis Two Top Teams playing final,and other Two Teams playing 3rd ,& 4th places.
Indian Women kabaddi team:-
After final trials for women Kabaddi Team at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana to play recent 1st Pearls Women Kabaddi World Cup 14 member team is selected out of 40 players. In this team 12 players are from Punjab and 2 players are from Haryana. Coaches of the team are Jaskarn Kaur Laady and Avtar Kaur. Women selected for Pearls Women Kabaddi World Cup: Stopper: Jatinder Kaur Vice-Captain, Jasvir Kaur, Annu Rani, Simernjit Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Rittu Rani and Mandip Kaur. Raiders: Rajwinder Kaur Prianka Devi Captain, Sukhwinder Kaur, Meena, Kulvinder Kaur, Mandip Kaur and Suman Lata. There are four standby players Bir Davinder Kaur, Randip Kaur, Inderjit Kaur and Navneet Kaur.
Teams;-
With the last-time withdrawal of Iran, and agree to play Turkmensitan. Now four teams competed for the Prize Money Pearls Women World Cup Kabaddi Punjab-2011 hosted by the Punjab Government at different venues of the state from April 11 to 20 Nov. A fabulous prize money of Rs 60 Lac is at stake in the some day sports meet.

1st Pearls Women World Cup Kabaddi Punjab-2011 is to be held at some districts Stadiums of Punjab from Nov. 11 to 20, 2011. The venues are as follows:-
Prize money;-
The women winning team will receive a cash award of Rs.25 Lac besides a glittering rolling trophy. Runners-up will take Rs 15 lakh, third and fourth place winners Rs 10-10 lakh.
